I may be wrong.
No idea of the ins our outs of it , just repeating what my rep said on the phone to me. Thing is one of the two demoted in my office is a decent manager and person , always treats peeps fairly and with respect , a real shame. The other is a late manager I don`t know
My experience with another union was managers being moved sideways . They were replaced by ex graduates , my experience was of being under two ex Teachers , just anal control freaks like something out of a religious cult ; after our previous Manager got a " We no longer have confidence in your Supervisor-al abilities " letter for challenging the Area Manager .
The first blue - eyed boy was thieving stored antique collectors item furniture that could have quite easily been sold to raise revenue - He even had a van sent round , you're talking £2500 - 4000 in his pocket for some items . He should have been doing Porridge with the union rep who'd a gambling problem .
Our old manager was the sort who'd say I'll put you on a charge if you don't go home now on Xmas Eve and then put the overalls on to do your last job ( s ) . We respected that . If you were naughty , you were taken into an Office and shouted at .
Eventually we got " better " Senior Management , a lot of middle managers had to be paid up , I believe our Area Manager had to have his hands prised off the door handle when he was given his marching orders . Reps were saying - " There is a God " .
