Special Delivery before 9AM - Earliest time?
Evening, I'm expecting a parcel tomorrow and need to know what time to get up at to wait on the postie...
Roughly when should I expect a delivery? 6? 7? 8?
Thanks,
Brian

Hard to say,we're not allowed to deliver anything before 7am,so,any time after that.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

alot more relaxed on 1pm SD's, but 9am SD is the highest priority going, i.e. driver will leave whatever he's doing and go out and get it delivered, and come back.noggin1969 wrote:If its anything like our office anytime between 09.30 and 16.00

Is the current weather likely to bring it to after 9am? I'm in Belfast, Northern Ireland and whilst it's not as bad as parts of England, we've still got snow / etc...
Cheers guys

=\
It's 9:14am and I haven't received the package yet, though they've suspended their guarantee due to the weather...
The online tracker has just changed from saying they've received it and it'll arrive before the guaranteed time today, to saying that it's "progressing through their network"... Does this have any significance?

Our specials don't arrive before 8am and 50% of delveries are further than 1hr away from the office so we constanty fail 9am sd's
Life's only rosey if you make it that way...... There is life outside of Royal Mail you know!

Re: Special Delivery before 9AM - Earliest time?
For God's sake, I understand the adverse weather conditions, etc...
But it's in Swindon, and could be delivered tomorrow if it had a £2 Saturday sticker...
But it won't, even though it's SD 9am, which costs double the £2 sticker anyway... Why can't it be delivered at all on Saturday?
Had I known it would be delayed I would've paid the bloody £2 sticker, but can't
Goddammit, Royal Mail
Unless... Does anyone know if it'll be delievered tomorrow anyway as it's SD9am and already costs double the Saturday sticker?
Thanks again guys

There is no reason other than the weather why it woudn't be delivered on Saturday.BrianE wrote:For God's sake, I understand the adverse weather conditions, etc...

Re: Special Delivery before 9AM - Earliest time?
Thanks :-)
It's in Swindon ready to be flown over here (NI), but the weather was too bad last night...
I'm hoping it will be delivered tomorrow, it's for a birthday on Sunday
Great news, thank!
