That's better PJ we love the one liners - you have to realise when you are getting on, the eyesight is going, and when you start readiing something that long by the middle of the passage you have forgotten how it started - that's why I like the Dandy and Beano :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle

MODERATORS POST:

Please do not change members chosen name into something abusive - please use the name they chose. We have let this slide for few months but will will enforce this rule more rigidly from now on.

MEMBERS POST

PEEJAY - I think you made the same mistake that a new bloke in my office did. When starting a new job or in this case joining a new forum, its always best to keep your ears open and your mouth closed. This is not meant as an insult, although it does sound like one, its something I learned in the forces, what it means is learn about the about place you are working in and what is and what is not acceptable (ears open part) before you commit a social or professional faux pas by saying or doing something which goes against accepted norms (mouth closed part). It also means that people slowly realise where you are coming from and would more readily accept your views, if not entirely agree with them.

What you did was not wrong and did start a debate, but not the one you wanted. Instead you came across in the fashio people have described. Hopefully we can end this thread at some point and perhaps you could spend your time more beneficially on other threads and perhaps be more welcomed in the future

peejay14 wrote: That I 'flooded this thread with narcissistic verbosity' in you words, is just your opinion
Yes it is! And many others too!!!
peejay14 wrote:and to me your argument there in support of dvbuk55 is pretty weak.
That's...'just your opinion'. :Very Happy
peejay14 wrote:Up until the point that dvbuk55 irritated me, none of my many (many) words were in any way offensive to anyone,
Oh right, well thanks for speaking for the whole membership of RMC chat there but actually a fair few things you have posted has been quite offensive to me.
peejay14 wrote: I hope that this online community does not exhibit the general behaviour of CWU members towards prospective members who remain unpersuaded, like me
That is a crass and completely unfair attack on all CWU members. I was deeply offended by that when I read it but let it go. HOW DARE you suggest CWU members in the workplace bully and threaten non-members to join. That is a disgusting lie.
peejay14 wrote: Guilty of deceit, my @rse!
That is a comment on my post where I said you have decieved us by comming on here pretending to be unsure about what to do re: IA but you suddenly turn out to be completely anti-CWU after a few days. Again I was offended by the obscenity as I didn't use one against you.

So peejay...you are not the inoffensive innocent poor guy who's being picked on that you claim to be are you? :no no ;liar
