buy down

The formula for buy down and EVR is contained in the MTSF agreement. If you go into the agreements section of the national website it's on there. I would attach it on here but it's a bit big

Dont know what the formula is but they offered me £5500 to drop down to 30 hours. That was taking into account my 18 odd years service which they rounded up to 19 and my age at next birthday. Manager seemed pissed off when I didn't buy it. :chuckle

I couldn't tell you the formula but I had buy down last year.

It amounted to more than I would have earned if I worked full time for two years. After 2 years you could return to full time without prejudice - if of course there are any ful time vacancies then.

Having said that if I had not been 59+ and can draw a pension then I would have had serious misgivings.
