Hardly if we were attacking the customer we would be on an all out continuous strike. We are on 2 single day strikes so that mail will still move through the system though a little slowermichael j wrote:Don't forget to mention that you want to destroy the kids christmas again this year. I work for myself and every year since I started some part of the system will strike at christmas - WELL DONE! in the season of goodwill the CWU wants to upset customers who pay their wages. I had a painter on the phone to me on saturday who has not received his recorded parcel posted 2 weeks ago. He says if his bosses upset him in any way he would not then threaten his customers and refuse to paint there house. But the CWU have the stupidity to want to attack it's own customers.

House of fraser - Yep they have left
No they are being destroyed already over last 5 years 63,000 RM staff have left this is a net figure.michael j wrote:along with thousands of small businesses.
Keep going boys - soon you will have destroyed your own jobs
Could it be about pay because of the leaked document that stop payment for D2Ds (you'll know them as junk leaflets) which equates to a 10% cut in pay when bosses have received £k in bonuses and Crozier £millions.michael j wrote:All I have heard for months is it is not about pay, even placards stating strikes not over pay - then surprisingly out comes the pay issues,
Modernisation - no just how they are implementing it without taking into account the consequences to staff and service. (You).michael j wrote:and modernisation, and privatisation, and bullying, and harassment, and length of delivery, and weight of bags, in fact anything and any excuse. No matter what Royal Mail gave the CWU next week they will have a new demand.
Privatisation - No that's been sidelined and as its a political issue and because of Mrs Thatcher we can't strike over political issues.
B&H - So we exhaust internal procedures to address it and ask for an independent review which is refused - but its still an excuse.
Length of delivery, weight of Bags - Ah H&S concerns should be dismissed because there are coming from a Union even though we once again all we have asked is for someone independent to review work levels and processes so that both sides can have assurance neither side is being treated unfairly.
No my experience spoke to 2 people today about strikes - 1 was on our side anyway - 2 was not but after she asked a polite question and I answered them she now says she supports us. We don't have complete public support and never expected it.michael j wrote:YOU HAVE NO PUBLIC SUPPORT and are held in lower esteem than politicians
BTW in a later post you say you were in the Marines -michael j wrote:Go on post this on your site because this is the true feeling of the public
