I completely agree with you. He sounds like a Victorian mill owner and as for the fart brains under him who repeat this senseless expression, they're vermin.

About sums it up and you'll have to dig really deep to find anyone that sees national strikes as the answer, other than losing money. To hell with that. All this crap about supporting the union. Thought they were there to support members not the other way around. As for my reitement, AGAIN thats MY affair but feel free to do wild goose chase searches. I give nothing away that would lead you anywhere - just like the rest of you. Quite right too.

Does it really?

Adam Crozier has gone missing in this dispute. Tuesdays Sky interview was the first time he has appeared. He attempts to be teflon man as he claims thanks to him we are now earning 1 million a day but he has no blame for the fact that competition is draining this industry especially as he negotiated the down stream access price and that we have lost market share.

Night tonic is this the same Adam Crozier which mandleson told MPs that we need a joint venture because "we do not have the gene pool to run a modern postal industry" hardly a sign of confidence of Royal Mail management.

When we started the strikes there were no talks and Royal Mail were saying they didn't need any future national agreements now they have asked the union to attend 3 days of intensive talks not just on the future but on the revisions which they implemented. Hardly a sign strikes don't work.

When the strikes started there were no talks with the government , yesterday there were talks with Pat Mcfadden the post office minister and other civil servants about how the dispute could be resolved.

Look Royal Mail are under huge pressure to resolve the dispute , work is everywhere and the media are all over them.

The facts about crozier"s sky interview were that he only accepted if no CWU reps were on and only if his remuneration was not mentioned. In fact all Royal Mail managers have been told they cannot enter into a two way studio interview with the CWU. Who is running scared it is not the CWU.

Now Crozier has a lot to hide regards his pay, it is unexcusable asnd outrageous these are the facts about croziers pay: compared to the chief executive in Royal Mail in 1990 and Adams wages as the present chief exectuive it has gone up by 1222% (yes that is one thousand two hundred and twenty two %). Adams wages are 157 times that of an average postal worker and he earned last year 3.4 million pounds.

However perhaps the real scandal in this dispute is being supressed, and that is of the 20 odd senior managers in Scotland who have been suspended for alledged fraudulantly falsifying quality targets. These allegations and investigations are being rumoured to be widespread within the industry and further investigtions are rumoured to be underway in other areas. Is it really a coincidence that Adam Crozier many years ago got dismissed from the Telegraph for alledged falsification of figures. Does lightening really strike twice and could this be the reason why Adams has been so quiet of late ?

He didn't turn up in the last one until the CWU via the press made it impossible for him to steer clear any longer. He's not bothered. He's robbed Royal Fail of millions in unearned income, not to mention his pension (which we all paid for) for turning the service into a shambles.

Spot on brother Dingo

He studied for a degree in business organisation at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and settled for an unglamorous placement as a graduate trainee with the Mars-Pedigree Group. He moved on to the advertising sales department of The Daily Telegraph but, as the paper gleefully revealed at the time of his FA appointment, ran into trouble for falsifying sales figures. Crozier shrugged this off as "a youthful indiscretion", though his detractors at the FA would later see it as symbolic of a young man in a hurry with a readiness to cut corners.

The rest is history...........

:cfo " It was a lesson in humility "[ :left: b] nearly[/b] getting sacked - the Premiership Managers found him to be arrogant , that's why the FA turned a blind eye to them ganging up on him demanding he should be sacked .

There was also his justification for his high salary that irked them too - Sounds Familiar ? & the little matter of the New Wembley Debacle too .

Whilst at the FA , he said a Liverpool Player wrote out a £80,000 cheque to miss training ,there was bits serialized in John Barnes Biography about things being slack under Roy Evans , One of the " Spice Boys " asked Roy Evans how much the club fine would be if he missed training for a photo shoot and Jamie Redknapp did say some players " took liberties " with a
nice guy , probably too nice :hmmmm but NOT a £80,000 club fine :hmmmm .

This sounds like the Spanish Practices thing when he just happened to be getting a pasting over his salary in the Tory papers in 2007 , the now retired RM Operations Director famous for Orchestrating strikes in Scotland Tom ? fed him with that but it was 92 versions of the same things and some Spanish Practices were very vague & obscure &ironically were RM " efficiency measures " .

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
