We had a fella threatened on the Saturday for posting them. One of the first walks to have any BNP leaflets at all! Then flat out inconsistency from managers on Monday. One Lino says you have to take them and the other saying fine to leave them!fedupSK wrote:have any offices had any problems regarding the delivery of BNP election leaflets? our office was briefed on monday that we had to deliver these several members declared they wouldnt deliver these and were told by domthat apparently they had to find someone to deliver these and they would not be allowed to deliver other election leaflets.
after pressure from the cwu and it gaining local media coverage we have now been told we do have a choice if we want to deliver this rubbish.
once again quality management:lfo :cfo
you talk as if its only bnp that does not get delivered but a bnp postman supporter could quite easily say no to a socialist leaflet its about choice for all postmen on what they deliver as regards political leaflets if they dont wish to its up to the manager to get them delivered a walk does not go with out leaflets unless management fail in there jobs.swpostie wrote:Why should we get the choice on whether to deliver BNP or not?
We don't get to choose what else we deliver. We should deliver BNP like we deliver the other election material.
It would be undemocratic not to.
You may not like what the BNP say or what they stand for but what right do you have to decide that other people won't hear their views.
They have as much right as any other political party to make their policies known.
Come voting time the people will decide.
If they get the majority vote they'll get elected, and quite right too - that's democracy!
You may not like the idea - but that doesn't mean you can influence the political process except by voting.
It's not a democracy if someone chooses which political parties you can vote for.
Incidentally, for the record, I don't agree with BNP policies and would never vote for them (along with the majority of the population) - but I do believe in their right to be heard.
