Also, as I said in my earlier post: There are a lot of people who were disheartened by the problems with the '07 dispute. I know that a lot was achieved, and I'm convinced that things would have been far worse, if we hadn't gone out. But correct me if I'm wrong: But isn't it that lack of confidence from the "Rank and File", that stopped the CWU Balloting the whole Country, rather than just London?
I do realise that communications need to go through several stages at the moment. But as you said yourself: THAT'S THE PROBLEM!
What we need, is for the CWU to change that, so that we can be "kept in the loop". And for us to all have the ability to provide feedback quickly. Just as we do on here. It's fairly obvious to the regulars on here, that there are several high ranking Reps on here. And it's greatly appreciated. There is even one, who has anounced his true identity, in another Thread (which of course is his right). But why won't HQ allow you to do exactly what you're doing on here "officially"?
It was only due to a small number of brave people "in the know", in '07. That we had any idea what was happening. The official CWU line, was that there had to be secrecy.
Although they are now trying to keep us informed. The information is often late, and doesn't allow us the option to reply quickly. What good is communication, if it's mostly one sided?
