Yes but the police issue cost 5 times more than the budget cheapo ones RM request. Thats why they only last approx 6weeks. Another cost cutting attempt by RM which has backfired. Once again RM senior management / decision makers proving they are not capable of running our company.
I purchased zip up magnums for £50 about 3 years ago - only wear them in winter so probably got 9 months continuous use out of them and they are showing no defects at all. Wore Mk 1 magnums from RM - sole fell off after 1 month. :arrrghhh

are they stitched or glued? lol @ a month.. oh, and for wearing insoles, be careful. if a boot is tight fitting, you can feel the tightness on the upper, consider taking out the boots thin insole and replace it with your own. what does happen is that an insole will push the instep even closer to the upper, and feel like you are wearing a boot that is half a size too small. one of the best insoles available is a memory foam, and is 6 or 8mm in thickness, but pricey. standard insoles retaling in shoe shops are 2mm but the reality of that is soon as u wear it, the foot pressure effectively reduces it down to 1mm

I love my Hi Tec Magnum Patrol CEN from Sportsshoes.com at £45 but there is a code somewhere for a further 15 per cent off. I've got insoles in them and have had them 6 months and will be buying another pair when they are worn out.

I'm getting pressure from my linos about this, so when I took the missus to the GP for an appointment, I thought I'd ask how much he charges, he asked me why & I explained the situation ( also adding I had already been cleared by ATOS a year or two ago ( when the Magnums started coming in ) & he told me to not waste my money or his time.....get my manager to arrange another letter from ATOS, as they are RMs Occupational Health company, and that is what RM pay them for.

So if anybody's manager gets on their case about footwear, ask for an appointment with ATOS - if they refuse, ask why not? Surely that is why RM have ATOS
The ATOS Origin website homepage wrote:Did you know? Atos Origin ...

provides the key systems and infrastructures that enable the Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam Stock Exchanges
processes transactions to the value of EUR 220 billion every day on the French central payments platform, built and operated by Atos Euronext. The platform is used by around 220 banks worldwide to exchange money

If i can get something that can handle scrambling over rocks for sea fishing as well as the day job, then that would be ideal !
