THIEVES conned Royal Mail depot staff into handing over the keys to a white Peugeot van before making off with it last night.
They told staff at the Royal Mail delivery office in Stephenson Avenue, Pinchbeck, that they were from the hire company which owned the van, registration NV06DXT, which was parked on the site.
The keys were handed over without ID being checked. The hire company has reported that the vehicle has been stolen.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to call Spalding Police Station on 01775 752222.

Bet the DOMs face was a right picture!

We have supervisors whos responsibilty is Drivers duties and hire vans, he usually checks all hire vans and takes photos of them to ensure no previous damages will be charged to RM.disgruntledpostie1 wrote:What's Traffic office Manager?NWpostie wrote:Shouldn't they have gone through the Traffic office Manager first with all the relevent paperwork, simple schoolboy error.
