That's a very telling statement there, Agent.

An outsider could be forgiven for thinking you've just confirmed the image of posties having had it too easy then? :hmmmm
Ah so your argument is that our terms and conditions should worsen to match non unionised work places. No thanks.

BTW calling axeman "agent" all the time cheapens the debate and IMHO weakens your arguments, as does any post that resorts to other forms of name calling and denigration. So everybody can we show respect to others opinions no matter how divergent they are from yours.

As Jackie Robinson says “I'm not concerned with your liking or disliking me... All I ask is that you respect me as a human being.”

Ah, so nothing at all. Who mentioned anything about non-unionised?

It's a little thing we have going; he calls me "teaman". No biggie, but I never noticed you saying too much about that though... :whistle

WTF's Jackie Robinson..?

You didn't but my logic which probably is flawed if you believe in market forces dictating wages then there is no place for the Union.

Thats a misquote I believe Acts 20:35

I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive

The Bible also says "Matthew 5:39
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also."

It also says "Show proper respect to everyone" 1 Peter 2:17

Jackie Robinson was a Baseball Player in the USA and was the first Black player to enter the Major League in 1947 .

Dismissive comments by 2 members removed - Please will everyone stop ignoring my posts. Is this an adult board or a playground. If I see any more from who ever it is they will receive a warning and a 24 hour ban.

People come on here to discuss and pass information it seems as though a few regulars think they can say whatever they want, well you can as long as its respectful and does not denigrate another member. Be funny, be forthright but don't be dismissive.

How many times have you walked into a business premises to find the people drinking coffee and talking and basically not getting very much done (usually one person trying to do all the work whilst the others just looking as if they are on a tea break (any time from 9-1)).

We do this in Ipswich & all is ok.

Nothing to do with any of that either. Irrelevant though, as he's now posted a completely opposing view, presumably having realised his original error.

1 "just take a look around and see how stressed out the workers are in other industries"

Vs

2 "I really think those in outside industries are't half as stressed as posties especialy the delivery posties"

Obviously a firm believer in the Uriah Heep debating school ...

NO ONE HAS YET EXPLAINED WHAT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 3H 30M DELIVERY AND THE 4H DELIVERY SPAN.APART FROM THE 45 MINS OBVIOUSLY..I GUESS THE TWO WOULD HAVE THE SAME NUMBER OF DELIVERY POINTS.BUT THE FORMER WOULD BE DONE AS AT PRESENT, AND THE LATTER WITH 2 TO A VAN DOING PARCELS,BULK CALLS AND SPECIALS.COULD SOMEONE PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME.OR IS IT DIFFERENT FROM OFFICE TO OFFICE. :cry :cry :cry 15M
