Its the only building that looks like a shop but has a long queue of complaining people outside. Occasionally has druggies waiting outside before it opens so they can aash their giro's.

:cuppa
I miss the days when blokes stood outside their homes and said to me "got my giro.." ahh the memories

I remember the days too. I also remember being asked for the persons giro whilst walking around my walk, instead of saying sorry mate, I can not give it to you in the street and getting into a long argument about the why's and wherefores, I just said, sorry mate, I don't think so.

He would then rush off down the dole office complaining he had not had his giro whilst I strolled around my walk and calmly pushed it through his door :funneh

The sad thing is, most people do cut corners for whatever reason. Maybe to make five minutes here or there. The main gripe I have with this is that managers will stand there and let you do this. They will even encourage you to cut the corners, they will turn a blind eye to the heavy pouch or the lack of cycle helmet etc but when you have an accident, They will throw the book at you
You have been warned

Take a moment to think about what you are doing, it may be something you do every day and you never have an accident, but the first time you do, remember that the managers will be saying it is your own fault for not abiding by Royal Mail Policy.

We have all shiyt in our office but they just accept it..........
Gaffers just got £1500-----£3000 respectively, we are the monkeys taking the 100 + kgs out not them....

May i ask who does the overtime rota in your offices? cos we got one who yet again....."gets the good Sa duties"
Dont you think management should do O/T duties thats what they are paid for......

Is it just our office (Bolton North) whose drivers have changed their strike day from Thursday to Saturday?

Just to add that our drivers work a Mon-Fri schedule with Saturdays OFF which means in turn no loss of pay, can someone comment on this please.

It has also been altered in my office I believe but becasue I work nights it means that I will be on strike Friday night hence the loss of pay for that night.

I believe it has something to do with our office not being a mail centre but for the exact reasons I am not sure.

Yes I am one of the guilty ones who goes in early each day. But no more as of Monday I will be doing my job as per my 318. Me pissed of big time not just with the two dickheads that run the show, but also people who come in late and are still ready to go before me.You tell the Dum's your rounds a bit big and they do not want to know.So maybee they will listen to me as I start to cut off.

Good lad Coppertop, I've never gone in early and always take my rest period before hitting the road (on a bike with one legal bag). My walk has never been changed since SDD because I am always near the time limit or over on busy days, which I don't mind. Early starters and corner cutters around me have had huge amounts added to their walks and now have to keep coming in early to cope with it. I never get hyped up about it but they do !!!!

Job and Finish

Post by mothola »

Job and Finish ruined the greatest job ever - the management like it that way though, for many reasons not least because they can save on transport and most of all save on having to actually manage anything. How many people ever stop to think about the safety/insurance aspects of using their own vehicle, the long term injury potential of carrying heavy loads etc, etc.

fully agree :Applause :Applause
how many k*** heads would still come in early and kill jobs if they had to work until 1.00pm or whatever every day. our office is full of them. even today one of the heaviest days ever there was people tied up and ready to go at 7.30. no wonder we're in a mess :mad :mad
