RM spokesman stated that the speed is only 2.1mph (3.37kph) so we should hold them to that.

Not before they have been properly risk assessed and a new safe system of work has been adopted you don't :whistle

You don't need risk assessment :speak to the hand no no lets press on and get the job done - seems to spring to mind after the Way Forward agreement - much promised nothing gained - the roller boots were a joke - I meant mobility scooters with trailers, so that you can work on into your seventies - and if your young enough eighties - come to think of it you may be able to deliver your own 100th birthday card from HM King Charles 3rd - your pension will be payable on your 105th birthday but only if your mum and dad are with you.

Beginning to think that you've truly flipped brother :chuckle Think it all stemmed from that one time you played basketball in Oswestry either that or you are taking too many of them blue tablets. :shhhhh

I don't fancy them roller boot thingys can i have a set of striders instead, like in that tv commercial for Zurich insurance. I'm sure Royal Mail will be fine with us trialling them as we'll be able to do 2 runs in the time it takes to do one now. I don't see any health and safety issues at all. Well lets face it there seem to be no health and safety issues regarding being out an extra hour or carrying more bags to cover the extra doors we'll be expected to do. They might need to put extra padding and weight on the PDAs as we'll be higher off the ground and we don't want them to break if we drop them. Then again I'll need the drivers seat removed from my van so I can save time by not removing the striders to drive, in fact why don't royal mail just get Romec to design RoboPost, I'm sure we don't mind having our arms and legs cut off and replaced with bionic items. Lets face it we might be better with bionic legs etc as when dogs attack we won't even notice.

Well that accounts for the fact that when I wake up in a morning I think I'm a bedouin :whistle and the basketball? - only 46 years ago............................... I have a job reaching door handles these days. I have more in common with Verne than the HGT these days - it's true everything shrinks when you get older - well almost everything.

I know I'm past it but I've always fancied a go with those striders - don't know why but they fascinated me when they first came out, so much so I looked into buying some - until I saw the price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ah well just something else too expensive and for which I'm past it. :cry Not all bad news though - I still have wit, charm, personality and sex appeal - well three out of four's not bad.
