it didnt matter that i was coping with a sat break off ,or waiting for bags to be dropped at my pouch drop i should have run to catch up so as not to break of.
somehow i dont think i will be doing overtime at christmas ,
looking forward to the season of goodwill

Ask your manager for a walk test and for him/her to go out with you.

As you all know the decline in mail is only to clear to all of us and as i explained to the manager (I use that in a very loose manner) i did'nt think we needed to be asked about christmas O/T as the mail is not there, what we could see all around us was a figment of our imaginations,he started to become very annoyed i don't know why but i will not be doing anything to help out as they have treated us with so little respect, the black stick has been used one to many times in our office and after this weekend one manager was so rude to a young member of staff it was to much,so mine and alot of others goodwill has left the building just like Elvis.

I only wish everyone on my office would do the same but alas many of them still haven't learned but time will make them wise.

Oh so true. Some of us who have worked elswhere in recent years have seen whats a coming.Oh yes. The old seniors will regret being so stuborn and think the "I'll just leave then" will help them out. It wont cos all other jobs out there are far, far, far worse to work for.

This is what happens elswhere and soon to be at RM Watch this space you heard it here first.

No OT.
Must be flexible i.e free work.
No Penison etc stakeholders.

I do Sunday OT, but haven't done Xmas SA or OT since the Way Forward, eight years ago.
I don't like the idea of doing OT anyway, but certainly not at a lesser hourly rate than normal hourly rate.

I agree but what fool at the CWU agred a 4 day strike over Fri/Sat/Mon/Tue No wonder it collapsed. Some cannot live on fresh air. One day a week and a solid work to rule would have worked better.
How can anyone who earnt well out of job n finish swap it for £400 poxy quid and few shares that will suddenly be worthless in 2012 when its pay out time.

I am and will stay a member and went on strike every day but the CWU is weak IMO. A band aid will make it bettter more tha them! Wait till next years pay offer and see what they give into then!

Good Luck cos you will all need it! Book your GP "stress " appointments now!

Thank you

My father ex FOC for SOGAT will be turning in his urn at todays apathy of some posties and The CWU poor leadership/guidance/arz licking!

When this country is back working 1930's style/conditions (very soon), then many will wish they were in a union and enjoy a good fight. If WW3 started tommorow and I got called up I would fear for my life fighting alongside some of the spineless posties that exist now. I would get fed up hearing "whats the point" "you wont change anything" "you wont win" "Just leave then" "stop moaning" "The grass is always greener" "I NEED THE MONEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
If these pathetic cretins were around in WW2, hitler and the Italian job would be now running the place, then they would be a whinging like they are now every morning in my DO Bloddy whinging about the changes that THEY Voted for! IDIOTS

Who will not be doing Christmas overtime?

I have not heard a thing about my Christmas arrangements yet despite it already being this close to Christmas. Maybe where I am there is not going to be any. My unit is way over budget despite all the cuts that have been made. The working system implemented has been a complete disaster and the unit is in a complete shambles. Delivery staff are worn out, injured and daily angry about what has transpired. The new manager who has been brought in to deal with the mess is openly hostile to delivery staff and there is a growing resentment towards doing any Christmas pressure anyhow. I think many will turn it down this year. I certainly will. It has been a bad year. Crozier and Leighton have told us they only want their people to work their scheduled hours and that is all they are getting from me for the first time in 20+ year of Christmas's. Humbug to them both! If it all goes to pot this year they deserve it.
