Ha ha ha,bet there's a few serving police officers who are shitting bricks today, when they are called in to see the duty sarge 'now then now then wot's all this then'.
Spoke to a policeman friend of mine last night and he was going through the list,'ahh,I lifted him last year and him, well that explains it'
however to be serious, they are a legal political party, and there members have the right to have their confidential info kept secure, but it is funny as f**k to see the hobbies and interests, and the political journey some of them have taken,Morris dancing(each to thier own I suppose!!!)'former conservative candidate, former Liberal Chair, former Green party chair (local),christ the guy was in so many parties it seems he does'nt ken who he is.
So the BNP want to run the country,if they cant run a membership list then nae chance.

I just read this article on the BBC Website: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7736794.stm and had very mixed feelings about it. I found Nick Griffin's statement that he would use the Human Rights Act, to deal with the situation, hillarious! The BNP oppose that Act, yet he wants to use it! :no no :chuckle So it's ok for them to have rights, but not anyone else, eh? :arrrghhh

Having said that. I'm disgusted that contact details were included in the list. I wouldn't want my details to be put up on the Web, and I fully support their attempts to have something done about that. :evil/mad But putting their names, and ocupations in the Public Domain, is in the Public interests. So in a way, it's good that this happened. Particularly as some of them are in jobs, where they are banned from joining.

I've no problem with letting people know what my Political beliefs are. So why are the ashamed of being BNP Members? :hmmmm :no no

I particularly liked this bit:

While there is no ban on many of those professions joining the BNP, its right-wing political stance and whites-only membership policy are seen by many as incompatible with frontline public service.

Police officers, on the other hand, are formally banned from joining, a policy which is recognised in the list.

Alongside the name of a serving officer, the document states that there is "Discretion required re. employment concerns".

I also hope for Nick's sake, that he can back up his claim that it's all a Labour conspiracy. Or he's likley to get sued for a lot of money.

Still, at least he's trying to protect the ones who should loose their jobs:

Mr Griffin earlier said the list was "essentially genuine", but a number of names of people who were not or are not party members had been added.

Yeh, right!
:no no :wave ;liar :chuckle :chuckle :wave :Boo hoo!

I particularly liked this comment added by a BNP official after one persons details....

"Report from ****** *********** 2/8/07: member describes himself as a witch: potential embarrassment if active" :left:

- RM with their dated sixth form political correctness / positive discrimination and H&B policy do a very good as recruiting sergeants for these vile far - right groups , with all the resentment they cause but they are not the answer - they just play agent provocateur stirring things up in areas which are already on their a**es - that's easy ! - they are too small a party to have any influence elsewhere

nothing wrong with Morris Dancing - :lfo said he was into it - in one of his interviews :left:

Hellmail have accused this site of being a recruiting ground for the BNP -on the basis of just one person was posting U*n*n J**k but that's typical of them , anything vague & obscure - blow it up out of all proportion - some BNP members do deliberately join unions and when they get found out and chucked out - they take the Unions to court under the Employment Acts .

Here is the question if Police are banned from joining BNP, are they also banned from joining the Communist/Socialist Workers party ?

banned from joining a certain workplace because you a member of britains 4th biggest political party.
Having said his, the media coverage, we couldnt buy,

i thank you :wave
As far as I'm aware, none of the other Political Parites, have a Whites only policy. That's why the Police are banned from joining. It would cause them serious problems when dealing with anyone who isn't white, if they knew that members of a Party like that, were likley to be taking statements from them. :hmmmm
Would you trust the Police, if you were likley to be dealing with a PC/WPC who was a member of a Political Party, which was anti Honkey? :hmmmm
I think not! :no no

I know that I am making the assumption that you're white. But as you seem to be trying to defend the BNP. I think it's a safe assumption, don't you?

There's no reason at all, why you shouldn't. Everyone's entitled to their Political views, and I would never try to prevent anyone from holding or expressing them.
tell me some racist policys they have, in fact, tell me any policys you know.
Well, apart from their Membership Policy of Whites only. Here's just two other examples:
1) we call for an immediate halt to all further immigration, the immediate deportation of criminal and illegal immigrants, and the introduction of a system of voluntary resettlement whereby those immigrants who are legally here will be afforded the opportunity to return to their lands of ethnic origin assisted by generous financial incentives both for individuals and for the countries in question.

So they want to bribe non-white British Citizens to leave the Country, and stop anyone else becoming British Citizens. :no no :cuppa

2) the BNP calls for the selective exclusion of foreign-made goods from British markets and the reduction of foreign imports. We will ensure that our manufactured goods are, wherever possible, produced in British factories, employing British workers

So we can export to any Country we like, but they want to be selective about who we import from, and where possible have only British products on the shelves. :arrrghhh :d'oh!

Personally, I think that we should be encouraging the regeneration of British Businesses, and in particular Manufacturing. But to do that by restricting imports, while allowing as many exports as we want?
That's protectionism, as well as racism. Tut, tut, tut. :no no :arrrghhh :Boo hoo!

And it only took me 5 minutes to find that. Imagine what I could find if I was to spend longer on the BNP Website....... :hmmmm

The police are hypocrites, for sure, banning members of the bnp, but wholly supporting a Black police officers association
I couldn't agree more with you about that. So-called positive discrimination, is just as bad as discrimination. And should be dealt with just as severely! :evil/mad
Aims & Objectives
Mission
The National Black Police Association seeks to improve the working environment of Black staff by protecting the rights of those employed within the Police Service and to enhance racial harmony and the quality of service to the Black community of the United Kingdom. Thereby assisting the Police Service in delivering a fair and equitable service to all sections of the community.

Aims & Objectives

The aims of the NBPA shall be to seek to improve the working environment of Black staff members, as defined in article 4.1 of the constitution, employed within the Police Service of the United Kingdom, with a view to enhancing the quality of service to the minority ethnic community of the United Kingdom.

The definition of "Black" does not refer to skin colour. The emphasis is on the common experience and determination of the people of African, African-Caribbean and Asian origin to oppose the effects of racism.

In pursuance of the above, the objectives shall be achieved by:

Representing the views of all representative members of the Constituted Black Police Association (herein known as BPA's) who are affiliated to the NBPA.

In my mind, its mostly there to police/help and "assist" other non black officers to work with the ever increing ethnic minority areas of britains cities.

Oddly enough, they were seemingly set up to counter racism, which i whole heartedly agree with, but its gone full circle, with more than one english county police force, if some of you remember (but never moan about- you apologists) actually discarded all white applicants from a list of willing folk who wanted to join the police- is that not racist?
Actually, I was VERY pissed off at the time. But I suppose it's not surprising that you would assume that a non BNP member would be against so-called possitive discrimination. There's NOTHING possitive about discrimination! It MUST BE STAMPED OUT!!!!! :evil/mad :evil/mad :evil/mad :evil/mad :evil/mad

No one has answered my question as to whether Police Officers are allowed to join the Communist Party/Socialist workers party etc
If they are and then not allowed to join BNP isn't that biased ?

In fact I think anyone in the Armed services, Police service in fact any public service including Town Hall staff should be barred full stop from ANY Political affiliations.

No they are not barred from communist and socialist parties because such organisations do not discrimate against ethnic groups.
