Well spotted Tman thats a huge + for you!

:Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause
So giving (for example) a realistic overview of current trends in mail volumes makes me the anti-Christ, but criticising some irrelevant DOM's grammar gets me rounds of applause?

Who took the RM presentation course ? , that well known Sensible Eating , Croquet and Wild West Enthusiast ; Two Shags , ex Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott ? - the one that took on the English Language and the English language lost !

I agree the lightbulb has lit up in the DIM's braincell - all the requisite buzzwords from the Royal Mail ticklist to impress ?

There's a grammar and spelling suggestions in the Microsoft Word Menu - it will probably suggest commas , sentence structure , punctuation etc - Royal Fail use Lotus - that's a IBM version of MS Office ? - similar to Open Office etc - it's not hard to use

Think he'll have to be sent on the RM Fischer Price - " My First Computer " course

If this was shown in a Tribunal or Court Room , people are hardly going to be impressed - can't have people in authority thinking RM are run by amateurs :chuckle , there was a case when the Judge said " Which illiterate moron wrote this ? " - ATOS paperwork is riddled with errors and mistakes too .
MURDERERS. Need to dispose of a body? Simply parcel it up and post it to yourself via DHL. You will never see it again.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Think what the point the brothers are saying is that you can't be wrong all of the time and that they have to give you credit when you are most probably right in this instance :evil/mad

I still don't care how long my delivery span is, I'll shovel s**t for 6 hours per day if they want me to but after 6 hours I go home.

Well this is merely the pre cursor to park and loop where I was trying to find any info - events have however overtaken me somewhat because we are starting park and loop a week on Monday and the union have agreed in principle to all the changes to come about. I am not against park and loop BUT I would like to have seen a little bit more involvement by the cwu reps and more thought put in to the planning. There have been changes made to the original proposals which removes in part at least the "add ons" to an already 3.5 hour delivery. The reasoning behind the union agreement is that the extra work is not continuous with a walking delivery and so it is not counted in the delivery span and yet both operatives will be doing 3.5 hour walking deliveries plus all the packets for those duties and the specials and the parcels which would normally have been part of a van duty.

Can't wait for the 2009/2010 pay and modernisation agreement.

Who cares. Let them get on with it and cut off when you reach 14:18 or whenever you shift ends.

They cant force you to do overtime.
