What do you expect in this country? Surely not the truth? The whole lot is corrupt from top to bottom, the lot rotten to the core.

Prior to the 'improvements in service' my post was delivered regularly at 8.30 am every day. After the improvements it is normally 2.00 pm when the post is delivered but may be as late as 4.00 pm. As an individual this is irritating but not dramatic. The effect on business users can only be imagined.

Mr. Mayo is wasting his time even thinking about campaigning over this, it is a done deal, as are the post office closures, the roots of which can be traced back to persuading pensioners it would be a good idea to have their pension paid into a bank, ha!

They can get away with giving us a rubbish service because we do not have any choices about what postal service we use for our letters.The goverment need to change it so we the consumer do have some choices then they will have ti improve.

Lies and deception have become an integral part of doing business these days, and the bigger the business the bigger the lies.
Royal Mail are a bigger joke than the Royle Male so wonderfully played by actor Ricky Tomlinson.

No matter what guff Royal Mail bosses put forth in defence of their now appalling mail delivery service they can't deny that the service is awful compared with the past. However the up side for them is that their remunerations are astronomical compared to former times for lying and deceiving the public and wrecking Royal Mail.

I don't understand the comment about a second delivery being abolished. I thought that went thirty years ago. Certainly we have never, ever had a second delivery. Our 'first post' usually arrives at about 2pm. It is outrageous. The Post Office queues are horrendous as no one knows how many stamps to put on each parcel and so each item has to be weighed. Hopeless.

The Post service is absolutely terrible now.
Some days there are no deliveries to us, yet the next day we have loads of post.
Perhaps the post person has a day off and the round is not covered.
Collections from pillar boxes/collection points are shockingly bad.
Get a grip Royal Mail and really improve the service or allow proper competition in to shake you up.
And NO bonuses for the Directors, executive, chairperson etc this year. You have NOT earned it.

So, the Royal Mail is committed to delivering to most addresses (except in rural areas) by 2.00pm. Could they explain why our mail was not delivered any earlier that 2.45pm every day this week. And we live two miles away from the main sorting office in Brighton.

Guess who is on a "performance related" bonus to get the Post Office ready for privatisation? Costs have to be cut drastically to make this feasable. The quickest way to do this is to run the organisation into the ground, cutting staff and services, closing the majority of rural POs and completely forgetting the public service foundations of the once mighty institution. Let's hope they do not post his bonus cheque to him, it might not get collected, delivered or "lost in the post" If is payable in over a PO counter and he lives in the country, I hope he has to drive 60 miles through wind, rain or snow to collect his thirty shillings in silver.

If they hadn't scrapped the mail trains they wouldn't be restricted by the EU on speed and there would not be so many lorries on the road.
A green winner if I ever heard one it cuts polulation and congestion.

before the one post delivery you could go out at 7.00am and start your round now you are not allowed out till turned 9.00am the rounds or walks have been increased by 25% on average and take about 4hrs to complete hardly rocket science then to work out that if you are on the end of a round your post wont arrive till the afternoon,its called progress.

In Australia we have only one home mail delivery during the week.
Christmas there is an extra due to the load.
So what is the deal.
Talk about being looked after. Box holders are usually the ones that get the extra delivery.

Royal Mail, this is a misnomer, perhaps " Slow Mail" would be more appropriate - you are part of declining standards in this country - your response to the criticism is not an answer. You have been cutting costs to the detriment of the service. You can fool some of the people some of the time but not all the people all of the time.

Royal Mail is the only company I know that has a captive audience, i.e. the whole country of people who don't have much of a choice but to post most of their standard correspondence through them, and fails to make money out of this situation. Bunch of idiots as far as I am concerned.
