royal fail cannot do anything without confrontation this is a direct result of having inept managers inplace (from the bottom to the top)
You will never get straight answers for any query from 'managers' because they do not have the bottle to speak out for fear of loosing there position after all most would not and couldnot survive in the great outside world but cling onto royal fails ideals no mater what
Dutch are light years ahead of us 'chum' and with the equipment we use that isn't exactly hard.
Listen the dutch can do what they want it does not make it right!. They for all i care can smoke pot till they are unconscious!. they can sell sex till they all get some STD!. Does it make the dutch a better nation than us?. NO!. WE ARE WHERE WE ARE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM!.FOR GOD'S SAKE DON'T BRING THE DUTCH INTO THIS WE HAD ENOUGH IN 1688!.

Ran out off oranges to keep my fruit intake up, so what exactly happened in 1688?

But since when were the dutch in direct competition with us? I see us copying their model, 15 hour weeks, etc but royal mail needed government money, thats taxpayers money for implementation of these faster walk sequencing machines ar,nt TNT a private company, are you in favour of privatisation? When its alright to use taxpayers (our) money to fund it.

The government already uses our money to bail out the banks (and in the case of the US is paying billions of dollars to secure companies bad debts).

And I can guarantee that this year, all the people involved in the banking crisis will get their big bonuses (Lehman Bros paid out their CEO $22 million in 2007).

Two cabinets have been installed in my office and they are full of PDA's, apparently the training starts tomorrow. When I get one eventually out in the sticks I doubt it'll work, I can't even get a phone signal out there. BTW do they have a built in torch on them? as the way its going we are going to need torches.

All local CWU Reps and Delivery Office Coaches in SW London(not to sure about the rest of London ) will attend a training course on PDAs and local arrangements around signing in and out plus other local issues will be discussed with the local DOM.

We got about 30-40 mins 'training' in the managers office this week. Used mine yesterday for the first time. I don't know how much training you're supposed to get on them. Training was incorporated into our normal hours - no overtime involved.
No communication from the CWU on this - nothing new there then!
