But since when were the dutch in direct competition with us? I see us copying their model, 15 hour weeks, etc but royal mail needed government money, thats taxpayers money for implementation of these faster walk sequencing machines ar,nt TNT a private company, are you in favour of privatisation? When its alright to use taxpayers (our) money to fund it.Night Tonic wrote:Dutch are light years ahead of us 'chum' and with the equipment we use that isn't exactly hard.axeman wrote:Care to elaborate nighty old chum . who sorts faster than royal fail ? do you have the ultimate proof of this ? i guess not just bullshi* from your superiors eh !

The government already uses our money to bail out the banks (and in the case of the US is paying billions of dollars to secure companies bad debts).genesis wrote:But since when were the dutch in direct competition with us? And I can guarantee that this year, all the people involved in the banking crisis will get their big bonuses (Lehman Bros paid out their CEO $22 million in 2007).

exactly,i phg but also drivek979aaa wrote:I have nothing against the use of the PDA'S just the fact that all change should be negotiated with our union as in the aim's of the pay and modernisation agreement 2007!. Or should we as the aggrieved party in this travesty of an agreement abrogate it for the sham it is and alway's will be!. What are the terms of referance to disciplinary proceedure's and the conduct code!. What if one of these device's is a dud and as such you take out your 20/30 special delivery item's and upon return to the office all record of the item's deliverd have disappeared into the ether!. IE your manager says you have lost them or failed to get a signature for the items!. WHERE DO YOU STAND!.
ive asked for info on how we are going to work the PDA's on implementaion
eg allocation, confirming delivery, checking progress etc and have yet to get any info
however we are supposed to have these guns by the end of the month

Two cabinets have been installed in my office and they are full of PDA's, apparently the training starts tomorrow. When I get one eventually out in the sticks I doubt it'll work, I can't even get a phone signal out there. BTW do they have a built in torch on them? as the way its going we are going to need torches.

We got about 30-40 mins 'training' in the managers office this week. Used mine yesterday for the first time. I don't know how much training you're supposed to get on them. Training was incorporated into our normal hours - no overtime involved.
No communication from the CWU on this - nothing new there then!
