No you said the Uk must be the only country in the world experiencing a volume increase. Baldrick thought Eire and Italy had reported as such. I researched the subject and found one had, I then produced evidence they presented to back up this.Night Tonic wrote:I think you're clinging to a perception that isn't backed by hard facts. Still, if you want to believe that mail volume is up and Royal Mail is making as much money as ever, thats up to you.
Also no one has said RM is making as much money as ever, that's probably the one thing that most of us agree on, that they are not. In fact I reported a story showing the USO making a loss for the first time in its history.
Also since when has perception had to based on "Hard Facts". Some believe in God, some believe in Extra Terrestrials and some believe in Creationism yet none of these beliefs have yet been backed up by hard facts.
Questioning authority and their positions is IMO a sign of a healthy degree of freedom of expression and independence of thought. Although these 2 quotes say it better than I ever could:
"Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth."
— Albert Einstein
"I believe in a lively disrespect for most forms of authority."
— Rita Mae Brown
