Hospital Appointment Letter Non Receipt

Post by redlen »

Hospital letters going astray have now become personal.

Just received a letter from the hospital saying missed an appointment on 10 October. Never got the letter. They were ok and booked another appointment but said it was a real issue for them and not an isolated incident.

I thought hospital letters took priority.

Obviously not

Not the DSA one's. That's the NHS choice of how much they want to pay for the economy service.

They should go back to having blue envelopes for the important stuff.

Did you ask them why they don't use text messages etc if they are having problems with the mail?

Never thought to ask, just glad they were ok missing the appointment and got a new one.

To be fair, that should not be an issue
Getting a service the health authority is paying for that is putting patients at a substantial disadvantage not of their doing.

Surely everybody who pays for a service should not be disadvantaged.
