Well he certainly doesn't have that amount in a high interest savings account. Of course he' all have a nice house (s) etc but he'll carry on because he enjoys the work. Adrenaline. Ego . Workaholic. Who knows ? I know postmen who live in million pound houses , and still work overtime . Why ?
If there were no entrepreneurs everything would be owned by the government, who would give themselves £ billions . Putin doesn't live in a council House. Then everything would collapse as politicians are useless .

What's the long term plan for RM that's the question. DK has obviously bought it with a view to doing something.

The reforms to the letter side of the business are just a sidenote brought on by the government. He'll be looking towards something bigger, more profit from parcels or selling off GLS.

Are these people really worth the figures that get put about? The question is what are the working class going to do to get their money back?
When was it the Working Classes' money?
Is this the classic cliche so beloved of some on the Left, that I have no money because the Duke of Westminster has it all?
Economics ennit. These people produce nothing of value. All wealth is acquired in the same way. Taking the value created by labour (production) and appropriating as much of that value as possible.

Trams you are sliding off to the very far left again, just straighten up a bit and you'll be fine.
I think you'll find these people gain the most because they have the most to lose, it's their money or certainly they sign for the liabilities and they pay the wages, we supply the labour, if they were a good employer you would be getting a share..... but there are none of them left so you get nought.
Until somebody legislates them strictly it will stay that way for the future.

Marxist economic theory isn't a fringe aberration. Anyone outside of the labouring class adds nothing of value. Do landlords create value?

For these people it's not so much the numerical value of their fortune but the fact it keeps going up. Line goes up. It demonstrates his financial skill, or that he's divinely favoured, or whatever. I believe it's the Protestant Work Ethic at, err... work. Before you say Dan is from a Catholic country, Bohemia was a hotbed of the Reformation. Alternatively, as the industrial revolution began in Northwestern Europe a secularised version of this concept was spread across the globe alongside the technology.
Call it what you like but the reality is it's stolen from the working class.
What, someone came into your house and stole money from you?

Truth is, he started in a business, succeeded, brought other businesses, succeeded and has been rewarded for his efforts.

They renovate and maintain property for the working class to live. If you didn't have landlords, you would have less housing. No one is stopping you from doing the same.

In the case of EP Group's takeover, remember that it was a leveraged buyout. Dan could have personally bought it outright and stuck his head on stamps for the asking price, but he did it through an equity group via a giant loan from a commercial bank. Sure if his bet comes out snake eyes he loses, however men of his calibre don't get their thumbs broken for failing to pay it back. Look at a certain president - multiple bankruptcies and yet banks keep giving him money like a broken ATM.

Rentierism is the hand around the throat of a breathing economy. Adam Smith (may profits bless him) was dead against it.
The machine stops.

Without our wages and our labour landlords would not exist. We create the money that landlords exploit.

Truth is the working class were and are exploited so that value can be accumulated by these people.

That old rhetoric is so stale now. It was derided as a nonsense in the 1970s when more people were accepting of the Left's tired dogma.
Levi Roots (as an example) made a lot of money out of his spicy sauce. Who did he "exploit" or "steal from" to accumulate his money?

Those who produce the product are exploited. Regardless of who it is the economics are the same.

When i was a lot younger i studied economics for a year, fascinating how they take maths to work out things like 1+1=2 and then somebody produced economics where 1+1= 457,000,000 and people actually believed it.
I dropped it after that and as the years have gone on i realised it was mostly B.S created so people could get rich and baffle the rest of us as to how they do it.

So the people who were paid and employed to produce the sauce in the factories were being exploited by good old Levi?
Would they better-off had he not invented the sauce, and they never had those factory jobs, then?
