If DM26 was a resounding success Martin would be all over the socials championing it's brilliance.

There's even loads of comments on Robin saying it's bad so it must be far from a resounding successtramssirhc wrote: ↑Yesterday, 08:46If DM26 was a resounding success Martin would be all over the socials championing it's brilliance.

50 per cent offices got back pay? Remember we all got a 3 per cent rise instead of 3.1 per cent.

To give you some perspective, there are multiple duties in my office whereby if mail gets delivered once per fortnight it is almost now seen as a success.Pfrizzy10 wrote: ↑05 Sep 2026, 07:34No, I work in an office where the majority of duties fail every day. Some duties don’t go out 2/3 times each week. Do I give a bollocks? No. Is it giving me more work to do? No. Am I expected to work a minute past my time? No. The exact same way you aren’t. If you are taking more and more work, that’s your problem and your choice because you can’t be forced to work a second past your time, whether you like it or not.GRS wrote: ↑04 Sep 2026, 20:27Do you work in a nice office with walks that are 3 hours long?
Have some respect for those who are struggling mentally & physically with the workload. Some offices have got 5+ hour walks and have substantial vacancies, it is in these offices where people are coming under severe stress & pressure to do more, more, more even though they can’t complete even 50% of their walk.
Bully for you that you can be so blase & just shrug off overwhelming pressure from management but at least have respect for those who are affected by a huge workload & toxic environment. You’re obviously a WUM!!
One of the biggest stresses i am finding is dealing with the ever increasing number of people approaching me on the street asking why theyve not had mail for over a week.
Likewise, people get notified their parcel will get delivered that day, but we just cannot guarantee it will, and this results in angry and confused customers approaching us again. It is stressful and unpleasant and unnecessary.

Have the number of your office pre-written on a bit of card and apologise to the person asking but let them know they should contact the management at your office to voice their concerns. Don’t use personal numbers but deffo hand out the office number.mjd24 wrote: ↑Yesterday, 09:43To give you some perspective, there are multiple duties in my office whereby if mail gets delivered once per fortnight it is almost now seen as a success.Pfrizzy10 wrote: ↑05 Sep 2026, 07:34No, I work in an office where the majority of duties fail every day. Exactly this. Again, not our problem how often people receive mail and not one bollocks do I give about them. Let management deal with them, that’s their job. We still get paidBarnacle wrote: ↑Yesterday, 09:49Have the number of your office pre-written on a bit of card and apologise to the person asking but let them know they should contact the management at your office to voice their concerns. I give them the customer services number on the 739 card, if they ever get through then good luck. It gets rid of them complaining at me.

Dont do this. Advise the customer to contact customer services.Barnacle wrote: ↑Yesterday, 09:49Have the number of your office pre-written on a bit of card and apologise to the person asking but let them know they should contact the management at your office to voice their concerns. Another classic from his campaign.Valentina@1 wrote: ↑Yesterday, 06:12This panned out well then.
Hope someone can find his whole pitch he gave in order to get elected, literally everything he said was load of crap, not delivered on any of the major points he made,it’s disgusting how he’s sold out, that day in London a couple of years ago where all members were together is now a distant memory.
Shame on you Martin
Sad times![]()
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1BLrhAhYaZ/I want to tackle head on the use of social media to campaign in the forthcoming election. I am doing that because I know many members will say to candidates “You only show up when you need our vote”. With me, nothing could be further from the truth.
Let me firstly be clear. This unions strength is and always will be face to face organising in the workplace. It’s how we win ballots, it’s how we put pressure on management. It’s how we win.
But social media isn’t going away and I spotted that a long time ago. I was a prolific and long term poster on the original RoyalMailChat web forum. I used it to keep members updated, recruit people to the union and plug what was then a gap in the national unions communications.
Once the Facebook Groups took off I went on them too. Throughout all of the recent disputes I have posted. I have posted since the agreement. I have passed on information (sometimes upsetting the unions leadership), answered your questions and posted updates.
So, I am not showing up at the last minute selling something. I am here as a long term poster. Someone who knows the value of organising both off and online.
On that basis, whatever your views on the union, the company, the agreement - I ask that you take into consideration my long term and continued commitment to engage you on social media when you cast your vote.
Finally, if elected I will continue to do the same. I believe the union is stronger when members are informed. Vote Martin Walsh. Ballot papers disputed 9th November.

Re: DM26 - Attention of Martin Walsh
To Martin,
It is clear from the comments online and on Robin, that despite all the best laid plans and agreements, Royal Mail have instructed managers to slash staff rather than ‘staff up’ and are using the OFCOM agreed USO change to disguise greater failures.
To have so many offices failing in SUMMER tells its own story.
Royal Mail are already planning their cuts for DM27. This really does look like the end of days for Royal Mail and the CWU because fewer posties means fewer members.
Time to pull your finger out and stop this farce.

I'm not in deliveries but it seems to me as if the union are doing f**k all to help deliveries.Barnacle wrote: ↑Yesterday, 14:25To Martin,
