DM26 - Attention of Martin Walsh

Post by funkflex55 »

I'm calling you out personally because it was you and your union that dreamt up this idea. Yourself personally bigging it up, recommending we all vote yes so we don't get a worse model, well.

It's pretty clear from every single f***ing communication coming from actual posties that the whole thing is an absolute s**t show across nearly every office it infects. Equal or less work than before? You liar.

I didn't want later starts and finishes. I didn't want different length shifts every day on a 30 hour contract. That I now need to track because I know for sure the hours will end up wrong. I didn't want longer days so that I can spend more time walking miles and miles with 2/3/4 days mail. It's an absolute f***ing clown show you have agreed to and when the company goes bust then you'll be partly to blame. As for the earlier finishes on Saturday, I now finish later than before!

The workforce morale is at all time low and DM26 isn't even in all the offices yet. We should be on strike.

Good luck getting any kind of reply .... They only pipe up when it suits . But the unfortunate fact is a very low turn out voted this in so low was the turn out that if it was for I.a it wouldn't of counted it was that poor . I get why people are still in the union but it's definitely not for the work life balance

DM 26 is not the answer for the business the staff or our customers be it business or the general public

We ain't even officially finishing earlier on the Saturday neither in our office. We're done now ten minutes later compared to the old finish time ☠️ So not really got many benefits, but oh we get to work later on a Wednesday though during school traffic 🤡

To be fair my office has gone in and we aren't having issues, it's manageable in the timeframe and people are enjoying the new times of attendance and extra days off. Appreciate that's the case for many, but for balance to say it is everywhere isn't true.
Also some of the offices around the area have also gone in smoothly.
I suppose some places are just more suited to the new method than others due to various factors.
