Recorded Delivery Slip Shortage ?!

Post by RED »

Hi all,
I send alot of Recorded mail, print off postage at home, fill out and slap on the rec del slips then go to my local PO and get em on their merry way.
Today I asked for a pack of slips (as i'm running low and probably won't have enough for the week) and was told that my PO had received a memo that said they won't be receiving any more rec del slips for 6 WEEKS as RM are running out. :mad

2 questions really...

1) is this true ?? and if so WHY have they let the stocks get so low (Surely they can just call the printers and get another batch? They can't have run out of numbers surely)

2) I read on a forum somewhere that you can order a pack from the RM website that'll be delivered to your door...anyone have the link or know an alternative way of me getting some slips except running round all the PO in my area begging for some ?? :hmmmm

Thanks for listening and hope someone can help

My local post office still says they can't order any more slips so we've had to go out of our way to another one to get slips (which are conveniently placed in a rack for anyone to get)

I'm wondering whether it's the post office manager being a bit "arsey" as we don't buy the postage from him.

I did check out that link trueblue (thanks) but it doesnt mention anything on there about "ordering" packs of slips direct.
