- Someone is sick or unexpectedly absence from the office (e.g., family bereavement, child sickness, etc.)
- A van breaks down or gets a puncture (or someone actually does a van check properly and refuses to drive it because the tyres are clearly bald and have been for some time).
- There is adverse weather (e.g., snow) preventing you from going out
- Network failures or delays
