RoyalMail Intl Tracked and Signed

Post by Local-Inevitable7961 »

I sent an A4 document envelope to France by International Tracked and Signed on 7th Jan. Item was levied a customs charge on arrival despite being of 'no commercial value'. RM/Its partners declared value of 0.11€ which triggered a min customs charge of 9.00€. I paid the charge online (to have it delivered anyway). Item was in/out of customs for days before La Poste declared address does not exist (its a commercial address and it does exist.).

Item was marked for return to sender, since then 3 weeks have passed but no tracking or parcel returned. RM contact number cant get through to a person to talk to despite jumping through hoops 3>3>3 on automated line.

I do not care for unfair charges or claims. The document is of a legal vale and i want to know where is it, and how can i get it back? If RM cant bring it back or it is not in the UK, then give info for where is it being held in France.

Neither I, nor recipient have been able to locate this item via tracking or through local depots in FR or UK.

This has been going on for 5 weeks. Help!!

Despite you saying "I do not care for unfair charges or claims," making a claim is sometimes the best way to get an item of post back. As all the details are entered into a database, the "lost and found" section of Royal Mail can match it to your query.

So I strongly suggest making a claim, even if you don't pursue it to its conclusion.

Can you post the tracking number so we can try and work out if it's currently in France or the UK?
