Is this lost?

Post by Albzino »

Hi All,

Hope you’re all doing well!

Just wanted to see if anyone can help as I’ve not used royal mail all that much in recent times.

Parcel was bought with tracked 24 - ordered Tuesday and shipped Tuesday last week, at MC on Wednesday, only got to delivery office on Friday. Then changed to ready for delivery by 5pm on Friday 12th and since then no update at all. Can’t redirect delivery as it says “no options currently available for this parcel” when I try.

Is it safe to assume this parcel isn’t getting to me? It’s been stuck on ready for delivery on 12th and has had 0 update. I’ve seen my postie come into my block and nothing. Called customer service and they were absolutely useless and said no point going to DO as parcel shows it’s probably on a van.

Thanks,

It's possible its lost, so I would check the customer links sticky viewtopic.php?f=6&t=33048 and make a claim.

Sometimes it frees the logjam if there is an issue with the contents or packaging.

However, since it’s Christmas, there may be a backlog at the Delivery Office, and it’s quite possible that they don’t have enough postal workers to handle the volume of mail. If you check the News section, you’ll find many stories about delays and insufficient resources.

Good luck.
