General delays

Post by Paddwood »

I know we're in the run-up to Xmas, but is anyone else seeing or reporting mass delays? All items I've posted since 02/12 on 48hr tracked are saying delivery may be delayed, with new dates ranging from 11/12 - 14/12. It's almost as if RM have been caught unawares of the increase in traffic at this time of the year and didn't plan for it.

I think they knew there was going to be an increase - but didn't put the resources in to deal with it.

Same here. 48 hr track should have arrived from the infamous Manchester CDO to my elderly disabled aunt last week. She waited in her new house, which is under renovation for 4 hours, nobody came. Checked track and it said no answer. Waited 9 hours the day after, nobody came and no card, marked incorrectly addressed return to sender. It is not incorrectly addressed. We have attempted redelivery FOUR times, nobody has ever attempted. Contacted RM four times who messaged the depot, all ignored. She is disabled and cannot get to the depot and there are only a few days to stop it actually being returned. I checked them out on Google and yelp, everyone is saying the same thing. Their yelp review score is 1. Only because zero isn't an option. How on earth do we contact them, she can't have it returned!

Again, we contacted royal mail SEVEN times, 4 different complaints six failed redeliveries and the item was returned not held for 18 days. Called royal mail today and extremely rude man said basically nothing we can do now, so tough.
