Hi all
I really hope someone kind can help!
My birthday gidt for my niece has been bouncing between London Central MC and Jubilee MC since 19 September.
0210E62B02EA7D19.
It is supposed to be delivered to W5 2EY and that is the To address written on the package.
Only when the package didn’t arrive in a few days (was booked 48 hours signed for special delivery) did I notice the receipt says the correct building name/number, 27, but the postcode on the receipt says W12EY. So the post office must have typed in the wrong postcode (my fault I should have checked!).
I also wrote my address on the package (in brackets with a From in front of it). Again maybe I should have done this as maybe it is confusing things.
Any help appreciated please as I just don’t know what to do and have tried calling the MCs but the telephone numbers online don’t seem to work.
Thank you!
Chloe

Re: Parcel bouncing between Jubilee MC and London Central MC
What is probably happening is that the machine that sorts parcels at Jubilee MC is reading the address that's encoded in the square barcode on the parcel. It will be going on the postcode and so it's sending it to London Central MC. I don't believe that London Central MC ha a machine that sorts parcels so it'll be hand sorted. They believe it to be proper to Jubilee MC so that's where they send it to only for the machine at jubilee to sort and send it back to London Central MC. Unfortunately it's going to keep bouncing between the two MCs until someone at London Central MC crosses out the square barcode.
It's not the first time that this has happened, there are past threads where the same situation has occurred.

Re: Parcel bouncing between Jubilee MC and London Central MC
Thank you so much responding! It has now gone to Greenford MC - do you think that is a positive sign?
Is there anything at all I can do about it?
Really appreciate you responding.
Thanks so much

It's getting closer to the destination postcode, so that may be positive! Hopefully a human being has spotted what's been happening!
