The postie keeps delivering my post to my car rather than putting them it my letterbox which is about 5 more paces for him to get to. This is all of my post, most of which consists of normal sized letters, not parcels. There would be no problem fitting letters through my letterbox. I've called the local delivery office several times and they've been nice on the phone but done nothing. I sympathise because the postie has a long round, and I don't want to get him into trouble, but still, I would like my letters put through my letterbox in the normal way. Who do I tell about this in writing, preferably email, so that I can avoid being fobbed off by "Oh he shouldn't do that"?
PS I know this isn't a customer query because in this case I am only a recipient, but it seemed like the best forum in which to post.
PPS Once he left letters under a stone on a table under my carport, and once he slid them under my garage door, but those were isolated occasions. Delivering them to my car is what he does every day there's mail now. Every day I have to go and look in the car to see whether the postie has left any letters there. I would like a way to ensure he gets the firm message from his line manager "Put everyone's letters through their letterbox if they'll fit."

Put a sign with a big arrow to wherever he's leaving them in the car "The letter box is 5 paces that way"

You leave the car door unlocked?
Try locking it and see what happens.

Re: Postie keeps delivering post to my car
It makes no sense that he is delivering to an unsecured location (the car) unless he is worried about his safety. This could be dogs behind the letterbox, or restricted access to the letterbox, just to mention a few.
Perhaps your first step would be to look at the situation from the point of a postie delivering stuff that has to keep an eye on his trolley, or has a bag on his back.
If none of these issues, or other potential ones, exist then complain through official channels on Royal Mails own sites (we are not an official channel).
