proof of delivery Image Quality/Resolution

Hello all, hope that someone can help as in minor dispute with recipient of special delivery mail as they are disputing receipt.

I can see quite clearly from the image on the Proof of Delivery website that the packet in the proof of delivery screenshot is the one we sent to the addressee (and the gps co-ordinates are correct i think!) but the low resolution of the image means we cant see the address or tracking id on the 4x6" label. Is there a higher resolution image stored somewhere we could obtain, or is what we as the customer see on screen exactly as captured?

We can resend the packet easily enough and this time in bigger writing but just thought there might be something we can supply to them?

I don't think the photo capture was ever intended to capture the actual address label details on the parcel. Its just a photo capture moment of time and place (gps co-ordinates). You can probably tell if the recipient is female or male, their age bracket and other background stuff such as plant pots, doormat, porch tiling, front door style etc will help to confirm who the recipient was in that moment.

Thanks, hadnt really thought about that and yeah it says SAFEPLACE with typical reception type scene - desk, pot plants and the like. Just no person in shot!

A point to mention - a Special Delivery shouldn't give the option for the postie to select a 'SAFEPLACE' they're not supposed to be 'SAFEPLACED'.

Was it definitely a Special Delivery? Tracked items can be delivered with the option now of (I think it's) RECEPTION. Although a lot of posties (including myself) when delivering to a reception and it's the normal point of delivery just process the item as 'Delivered to Customer'.

My mistake, I misread the GPS blurb on the Royal Mail App about 'deliveries to safeplace' etc as 'delivered to safeplace'

I'm sure the image would be enough to prove delivery if ever required. I guess I was just surprised at the low res of the image taken - it was like it had been taken by a camera phone from the early 2000s!

that's the "technology" we use, the camera takes about 5 (wasted) seconds to focus.
