No. The prompts for Date Of Birth and confirming the customer is over the age are both before the photo prompt
I've been in the position where I've placed a normal Tracked into the mechanism of a customer's parcel box, stepped back to take a proper photo and the weight or either the packet or the trap door has fed the packet into the box before the PDA fired the second flash.
Also, a few times I've fed small Tracked items through letterboxes after taking a photo before I've realised the PDA then continues on to the signature screen.
And the tiny words 'Age Verification' don't exactly jump out like a silver SD bag.
So, all these things combined; it is not completely impossible that a very unfortunate series of genuine mistakes took place.

You dont seem to get what im asking
I KNOW that its easy to put the parcel through by mistake
Im asking what did he do then? Put in fake details and sign for it or hit cancel.
What would you have done?
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

Except they're clearly marked on the initial scan with a dot for signature or 18+ for Age verification before you even decide to click deliver to customer!

The guy literally posted some good advice about getting a 1 year serious for making a mistake and you f***ing jobsworths are arguing about the minutae of what he done. Give it a rest FFS

He hasn’t posted any advice because I’m asking what he actually done to remedy the problem of still having it on his scanner after he posted it and he won’t answer
It would help if he did
He might have avoided a serious if for instance he cancelled the scan, phoned his manager and explained what happened rather than put in fake details
That’s why I’m asking
So we know what to do or not to do if it happened to us

Problem is everyone is treated differently, plus customers all act differently. The lesson learned must be never put a parcel anywhere near a parcel box or letter box until you've checked the PDA for an AV warning, and under no circumstances leave one in a safe place as a favour to the customer.
The DOB request is the first thing that comes up on the PDA.
So you obviously inputted DOB without the customer present BEFORE taking the photo or posting it.
A deserved Serious, sorry. We all know how important the AV procedure is.
Just do things properly now, you'll be fine.
I thought AV was designed to stop youngsters (18 under) from purchasing items they should not.
They can still buy age restricted items if mum or dad signs for it so it's all a bit pointless anyway.
How the RM can find out that someone put a fake year but still over "25 years" as his age. No customer complaint made as per the manager. How come royal mail knows the age of the person the parcel being delivered to and manager complaining to the postie that he has put a fake age in this case as 1960 as birth date.

Thanks
A pattern that is too unlikely to be a coincidence perhaps
There have been people in my office who put the same year of birth for all of the age verification items they delivered
2 or 3 in a row can be a coincidence but 7 or 8 all delivered with 1960 put as the year of birth raises eyebrows
