EP Group tear up Dave Ward's groundbreaking agreement

Royal Mail want ofcom to give the green light for uso reform by 1st July. Ofcom have said they will make announcement “in the summer” which very well could be 1st July. Royal Mail have already started the planning for uso change even in offices which arnt in the pilot. All this without union agreement, Ward and Walsh said there would be no uso agreement before everything was settled in the agreement with EP.
We are possibly 10 days away from the one bargaining chip the union have in negotiations disappearing away. Where the hell are Ward and Walsh? Why the silence?
They did this last time and Walsh said lessons will be learned and more communication would be given next time and any future agreement wouldn’t be “served cold”Clearly a lie. They hold the paying members in complete contempt.

The MC side of it is already to go everywhere. All flat and letter frames have got indicators to show if it's 1C or 2C being sorted on them. It won't take long to stock up a tray label frame with new 2C tray labels. I'm assuming that we'll start sorting the inward 1C and 2C on separate frames from July 1st.

Been told today that our uso reform won’t be happening until after Christmas.

That came form the managers.

We've been told the opposite it seems meetings are taking place to plan the move for later this summer. If OFCOM gives the OK this summer why would RM wait until after Christmas to start saving money?

It’ll be because we’d need a full revision.

We have every type of delivery there is so it’s a bit complicated.

What I would say is that if it’s 3 posties and 4 duties then it’s a disaster with our current duties. Now , 4 duties between 4 people hardly get one delivery done between the pairing and the tracked off the other side. This isn’t every pairing but most and it’s not even that busy.

Then there’s the duty sets and fitting that into a large office and figuring out what they do with non-drivers.

I am not saying it won’t happen before the end of the summer , I’m just telling you what we got told.

But again , if it comes in now with how our duties are and as we go in to autumn pressure then the office will be in a gigantic mess.

Our office is probably no different at present some duties are even virtually impossible to complete during peak, so there's no way double or even triple mail can be delivered. I can't see how the company can pick and choose which offices change and which don't, unless they do it on regional areas

Interesting Sean, why wouldn't i care, i worked there for long enough and consider a lot of posties my close friends, so why wouldn't i wish some good to come out of this?
Why wouldn't i hope the union would put the postie first and self preservation second.
Why wouldn't i wish for manageable workloads for you all?
