I imagine deep rurals and routes that deliver to solely companies (must be very few 100% business duties) will be the only exemptions.
If your route can save money/headcount by delivering 2-3-4 days mail in one go then that's what will happen.
What's the reason for rurals not to be included ? we have some and the difference between a quiet and busy mail day can be 2 hours, it's not the case that if you only delivered parcels and 1c that they'd take the same amount of time as delivering everything.

I think it is because there is no cost saving. The vans would still be driving round a wide area and most are singleton jobs anyway so there is no staff cost saving.

However, I personally think that only HCT users have a valid argument for not being part of the nonsense because their job is hard enough.

It is a bit of an issue though having an office where not all workers on the same pay rate are going to be treated the same.

At one point hcts were going to be exempt from the trial, but they changed their minds ...
They can make it up as they go along because it's going to be rolled out regardless.
Correct, it's not a trial if it's already going to be implemented in August.
Is it 100% confirmed to be being rolled out to all DOs in August? If it is then I'd expect to see any related changes that are going to be implemented in MCs implemented by around mid July at the latest.

No it isn’t 100% confirmed. Don’t know why anyone is saying it is. At the bottom of every document related to the pilot it states that it will only proceed to a national roll out if it works.

Do you do an HCT route?

No but I have done them in the past.

As have I. They are not the golden ticket some people seem to think they are - I've done both hct and shared van and hct is definitely the harder ...

I can only confirm what was said to me by a manager.

Anyone know how much mech the walks at the trial offices are getting on non-2C days? Is it less than 1/4 of a tray?

Managers are spoon fed the whole load of guff about how change is change and we all need change and change at any moment to make RM the change. Be the CHANGE!

Other than that they know next to nothing because the current management structure is one of each manager never knowing enough to question anything.

I haven’t heard any GOOD news about the pilots. I’ve only heard about the issues. If anyone has found a positive result from anywhere, please share.

The LTB makes it quite clear: doing nothing isn't an option and just ditching Saturdays isn't an option. It's the ODM or a three day USO. Clearly the ODM is happening within a short timeframe.
The machine stops.
