Parcel bouncing between Cardiff, Swansea,Southampton

The Tracked 48 item I vought on Ebay departed London about ten days ago. I headed up to Cardiff, which is odd as I'm in Southampton. Then it went to Swansea multiple times, down to Southampton, back up to Swansea, down to Southampton, and now it's back in Swansea! What can I do? And why the heck haven't RM got a chat facility like everyone else?

Southampton postcodes start SO, Swansea’s start SA. So if the sender messes this up, i.e. writes post town Southampton but makes the second character of the postcode an ‘A’, then RM will have difficulty delivering this.

It is the seller’s responsibility to get this too you and you should be claiming from them.

I did query the seller and he said he was most careful with the address. I guess I will have to register it as lost. You'd think there'd be a facility for a human being to read the actually address and realise that all elements of it contradicted the postcode. As far as I am aware, Swansea is not located in Hampshire! My ebay address is my full one, and includes area within Southampton as well as county, for this very reason. A little human commonsense would quickly reveal the postcode error, if that is what has happened, but it all seems to be "computer says" driven.

Don't give out any personal information in your first contact with them, they should DM you for details after the first contact.

In the meantime hopefully a real live human being might spot what's happening and intervene.

It has not made it to any delivery office anywhere yet so it'll be being sorted by machine at each MC. All packets will be sent straight to the machines and likely won't be hand sorted unless they get rejected by the machine. AFAIK there's no mechanism to automatically reject any item that has been bouncing between MCs

No, the sender needs to register it as lost. You need to claim from the seller.
