Special Delivery to Ireland stuck at MSC
I made a bit of a boob at work. I sent my own letter normal Special delivery by 1pm to go to Rep of Ireland. When obviously it should have been international tracked and signed for. The last scan shows two days ago at the mail centre. Luckily enough I did write in the back of the letter my return address. Will it make its way back to me? I’m hoping it does it’s a passport application form.

Yes, it should be sent back to you as underpaid international mail.

Hopefully. I know things vary but how long will it take? Will it leave the MC and go to Heathrow. Or will it not get that far and come back to the local DO?

Since returned mail is considered unpaid, it will not be processed according to Special Delivery specifications. However, it will be scanned each time it is handled. Please note that because this is an unpaid service, its priority is low, and it may take some time to return.
