Some guys in our office made more on doing other peoples d2d than their own wage
Also even back then some d2d were not done on some duties and yes you could be doing 6 lots
And i also remember being paid up to 10 p per item on some lucrative items

I wish I still had some of my old payslips from back then because I'm fairly certain we were paid almost twice the minimum wage at the time.

We need over 10% if they’re taking away our weekly delivery payment
Hasn't it already been mentioned that the Delivery Supplement (if that's what you're referring to) could be absorbed into basic pay, making it pensionable. So technically it's not being taken away, however it will be dressed up as part of a pay rise.
What about new guys they get no supplement and a less hourly rate, it’s totally wrong

Everyone's heard the stories of the hundreds of pounds lost in delivery when the per item payments was sold out and became the delivery supplement.
The D2D market is shrinking. Locally we probably average 2/week.
We are earning more with a delivery supplement than we would have if we had retained unit payments.

Hundreds of pounds lost in delivery? Nonsense.
Speak for yourself I can honestly say rarely we get less than 3. Admittedly I used to get 6or 7 most weeks now 3or 4 but still worse off than when they paid individually

Just checked on the people app to see how far back it goes unfortunately doesn't go back that far but the earliest I can see is Feb 2012 when the pay was £9.21 ph plus delivery supplement was £20.90, apparently at that point nmw was £6.19

Yeah following ted_e_bears post i looked this morning and can see back as far as 2012. By my calculations ~ well using an inflation calculator ~ i/we should be taking home £444 a week now to match what we were on back then. My take home now is £425 a week, so we’re about 4/5% down.

Have you got a P60 from back then? If you have you'll be able to get a rough idea from that.

Sorry to interrupt your off topic discussion. I have searched the entire discussion board and there is no mention of even talks about a potential pay rise for us.
CWU keeping it very quiet this time and we are literally a week away from new financial year and April where pretty much everything we can think of is going to go up.
I think I am going to give myself a pay rise and cancel the union subs, they have been powerless and useless for quite some time now.

Because we would be better off without a Union?

The business is about to be taken over.
There are two senior management teams right now.
One busy cleaning out their desks and one waiting outside picking new office furniture.
Neither is in a place to agree a pay rise at the moment.
