Re: Pay rise
Tesco staff have lost their Sunday supplement but there's no indication what lump sum they've got who were entitled to receive it.

It's bizarre that RM pay supplements for being a "machine ops" at the MCs when you can learn it with less than 20 minutes training, they should be on £12.54 an hour.
Learning delivery is like doing a full shift on processing, then a 5 or 6 hour delivery span tacked on after, every day.![]()

What's the betting staff at Amazon don't get any supplements, they really are a thing of the past from when unions had any power in the UK.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 22:01An agency person can learn that in 20 minsLondonsburning wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 20:25So less time than it takes to learn how to prep a single walk at a DO then?SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 19:47You're deluded if you think that anyone can learn a machine in 20 mins. The way it's going within five years we'll all be on minimum wage, both DOs and MCs, breaks will be unpaid and all supplements and allowances will be goneTopperGas wrote: ↑19 Mar 2025, 13:08What's the betting staff at Amazon don't get any supplements, they really are a thing of the past from when unions had any power in the UK.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 22:01An agency person can learn that in 20 minsLondonsburning wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 20:25So less time than it takes to learn how to prep a single walk at a DO then?SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 19:47You're deluded if you think that anyone can learn a machine in 20 mins. Re: Pay rise
The functional supplements are nothing to do with 'union power'. They demonstrate the pisspoor trade unionism of the CWU who sold allowances to create these supplements. Everyone's heard the stories of the hundreds of pounds lost in delivery when the per item payments was sold out and became the delivery supplement.TopperGas wrote: ↑19 Mar 2025, 13:08What's the betting staff at Amazon don't get any supplements, they really are a thing of the past from when unions had any power in the UK.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 22:01An agency person can learn that in 20 minsLondonsburning wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 20:25So less time than it takes to learn how to prep a single walk at a DO then?SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 19:47You're deluded if you think that anyone can learn a machine in 20 mins. The D2D market is shrinking. Locally we probably average 2/week.tramssirhc wrote: ↑20 Mar 2025, 07:23Everyone's heard the stories of the hundreds of pounds lost in delivery when the per item payments was sold out and became the delivery supplement.
We are earning more with a delivery supplement than we would have if we had retained unit payments.
Hundreds of pounds lost in delivery? Nonsense.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

The postal industry is a multi-billion pound money spinner that makes so much money it can pay the bosses millions. Stop repeating the nonsense of Ward and Walsh.TopperGas wrote: ↑20 Mar 2025, 08:53But the company is still losing money every year and the only person/company interested in buying it is DK.hans solo wrote: ↑20 Mar 2025, 07:44Correct everything from dave and co has been to take take take
