Hi a few days ago I had to send docs into the passport office. I am 99.999 % sure I wrote down the correct Post code and address on the enevelope.
Sent Royal mail special delivery.
I saw on tracking it said Delivered and Signed Home Counties North DO
But I could not view the signature as it kept saying incorrect post code. Finally I checked my receipt from the post office clerk and instead of putting HP2 7HQ on the tracking I noticed he had actually typed HP2 7GQ , so only when I put in the "incorrect" post code did it show me a signature proving my letter/ documents were signed for, but my concern is this : I previously sent documents to the Passport office an they show as being signed for by "HMPO" but in this instance with the wrong Post code on the tracking receipt it shows signed for by "HMPO KA" i have no idea what KA stands for
of if it has even gone to the wrong office.
Im in something of a panic as these are really important documents, and im certain on my envelope I did type in the correct postcode as I remember checking it 2 to 3 times because of the importance.
Will it somehow have been delivered to the correct passport office or is it lost in some obscure place ? any help would appreciated apologies for the long post.
Thanks Dino

KA could be the initials of the recipient at HMPO, Dino.

Should be fine, there's not two Passport Offices in Hemel Hempstead. Post code HP2 7GQ doesn't exist, so I'm sure the local posties will have sussed it out and got it to the right place.
