That’s what I’m thinking. There go my subs if they agree to this!postiewhite wrote: ↑04 Feb 2025, 07:48Problem is they will make the trials work but will be realistically unachievable once we are all doing it and the bullying managers will want frames clearkazardaimenu wrote: ↑04 Feb 2025, 07:15How can the CWU agree to this when it means QOS will hit the floor in every office using this method. Without smaller duties like was promised at the start this system will collapse.

Re: USO update
I can't see LATs will change as somebody still as to deliver them, although like collections if posties are all working later then they will no longer be able to help out, unless they want to work late into the evening. All the vans will be getting back even later, something else the business probably hasn't even considered.

Re: USO update
The LATs are here to stay. Although our normal packets and parcels have reduced a little bit, the LAT numbers haven’t dropped since October, though loads and loads of rural ones make for a nice scenic afternoon drive with the only real “traffic” being a slow-moving tractor. Gotta love the job sometimes!

I have to agree, i have always enjoyed a nice scenic jaunt delivering parcels in the country and down the coast, weather helps but as long as you can see the views it's a winner. Even the tractor adds to it.

Re: USO update
So if you live in the sticks you'll get a better postal service than if you live near a DO in a large town or city, only RM could come up with this type of plan, plus apart from Monday's a rural posties work load will stay exactly the same, whereas a non rural postie will have to deliver double or more post every single day of the week, apart from Saturdays.

Led by monkeys.
You could honestly come up with a dozen reasons why none of this makes any common sense.

Re: USO update
I know it's ridiculous I thought the uso one price anywhere service was introduced so the expensive places to deliver to were subsidised by the profit from the 'easy' places so now because they can't think of any sensible option they're considering delivery almost as normal to the expensive to get to addressesTopperGas wrote: ↑05 Feb 2025, 19:47So if you live in the sticks you'll get a better postal service than if you live near a DO in a large town or city, only RM could come up with this type of plan, plus apart from Monday's a rural posties work load will stay exactly the same, whereas a non rural postie will have to deliver double or more post every single day of the week, apart from Saturdays.
