Missed 1st delivery, arranged a new delivery and royal still tried 2nd attempt

A postman tried to delivery my package on January 18 (saturday) but I wasn’t in. So I arranged a new delivery on January 21 (next Tuesday). But on January 20 (next Monday), they tried the second attempt. I am wondering if they will deliver my package today which is the 21st.

I ended up rearranging a new delivery as royal mail ignored my 1st requested date. Just don’t know why they offer the redelivery function without actually care about it.

To be frank - it is probably because at present a lot of offices have overtime bans so posties have to prioritise which part of their deliveries they need to do so your postie may have known in advance that Tuesday was unlikely so took the chance for Monday.

Also sometimes the request does not make it to the Posties PDA so they could be simply unaware of the request.

As I have left RM I can safely state that RAF management has the same view that POL had with Horizon, the computer can't be at fault, so there is no need to have secondary support systems in place. Its easier for RM to say that its an issue with the local office rather than accept there is a systemic problem that they are ignoring.

My requested delivery was yesterday and i haven’t received my package yet . Should I arrange another redelivery? I know RM only holds my package for 18 days before returning it to the seller. Everything is out of my control now.

Can you or somebody you know get to the DO office between 8 &10 am and collect the parcel as that's, unfortunately, the only guaranteed way to get it.

Unfortunately, I can't and I don't know anyone who can get to the DO office around that time as we're all at work around that time frame. My tracking update remains "item prepared for re-delivery".
