Strange Tracking on an International Parcel

I sent a return parcel to Amazon Germany (Slovakia warehouse) on 31/12, collected on 2/1.

It arrived in Bratislava on 7th January at 7.39am and moved to Customs at 4.10pm that same day. It stayed there till 8.20am on Saturday 11th when it was released. The next item on the tracking is “Item leaving UK” at 2.28pm the same day. There’s been no further tracking info since Saturday.

Is it possible for the parcel to have left Slovakia and been receiv3d and scan as a UK departure in that 6 hour window? If not any ideas as to what’s going on?

Can you post the tracking number so we can see which firm done each scan?

Was there any lithium batteries in the parcel?

No batteries in the package.

To me it looks like Slovakia rejected it and sent it back, on 11 Jan, and then when it reached the UK it was sent out again.

Why? - for that you need to speak to an official Royal Mail representative (we are not such).

Where it gets sent back to Slovakia it doesn't mention the name of any RM office, which makes me wonder if UK customs rejected it for whatever reason

Thanks, I’m not sure it was in the UK long enough to go through customs.

Also not sure why Slokavia customs would have rejected it as it had the appropriate paperwork etc. To be honest I’m more concerned at the lack of any update since Saturday.

I’ll have to call RM customer service later.

Just an update, the parcel seems to have arrived back in Slovakia at 15.31 today and is now in the hands of Customs again! What the next move will be god only knows

According to Slovakia Post on Jan 11th the package failed customs clearence "Import terminated - Other"
Today Jan 14th it shows "Your item is currently with Customs in the destination country."

The confusion occurs because the scans are being made on the delivery address and wont reflect a true picture.

I would say it's on it's way back to you.

When looking at the tracking on Parcelapp, it looks like it got sent back to Slovakia once it got back to the UK. It doesn't look like it entered RM' network, which makes me think that UK customs rejected it

I called RM customer service, they didn’t really tell me anything I hadn’t found out already. Just have to wait till the 28th to start a claim if it doesn’t turn up here or Amazon.

Another update, the parcel has arrived back in Aberdeen! Hopefully I’ll find out why it was rejected by customs now.
