Missing Inaction

Post by DrRoger »

Hi, I’m looking to find info on a parcel sent from the USA that arrived December 11 but seems misdirected to Heathrow or somewhere else and has no updates since 12/12. It’s tracked 48 delivery & I wanted to get info as the item is for my father who is currently in end stage of life with cancer. No idea where to turn - called the helpline several times and there’s no idea save to claim. Reckon the seller might not be interested in that or want to leave it until 12/30. Help!

Although there is no tracking number available to check the most recent status, I believe I know exactly where the package is.

USPS scans all their trackable items between unloading from the aircraft and when they pass it to UK customs. They are the only company that does this. Therefore, my best guess is that the package is currently held up in UK customs. If that is the case, please keep an eye on the tracking as once it is handed over to Royal Mail, they will begin scanning it throughout its journey to you.

Thank you. I have a UK tracking number for the parcel but cannot say if it is the correct one or simply a placeholder. It is a GB prefix as with other packages from within the uk. The helpline for missing parcels are consistent re the arrival of the parcel in Heathrow Worldwide LC 10/12 and then Heathrow Worldwide DC 11/12but the familiar gray card for customs hasn’t arrived. How or if this impacts I don’t know.
Again thanks for the info and please all staff at RM accept my best wishes for Christmas and ‘25. No flannel -I know you deserve thanks and a good deal more. Peace.

Do you also have a tracking number that has ‘US’ as the last two characters?

Is the weight of the parcel more than 2Kg?

And hopefully the parcel does not contain medication, as attempting to import that without a suitable licence could cause no end of issues at customs.

No sir, the end letters are GB. My sense is the parcel is not more than the weight you mention and I don’t ever import meds or export them. I’m just not sure what to make of it all - the parcel says should be here 12/12 but never got here despite asking folks locally and checking with our local delivery office (in Crewe). I’m afraid that things seem to have gone wrong but I can’t get a USPS number from EPG track. Thanks for your help, I’m not sure what I can do now.

It appear that your parcel is in the same situation as the one on this thread:
