Hi I was hoping some one can help me.
My postman in the CB23 area, when delivering a parcel along with the regular post insists on putting m parcel on the floor to take a photo, then walking off leaving it on the floor for me to pick up and he refuses to take a photo with it in my hand. I have asked him not to and to do it in my hand but he continue to insist on it saying that it is policy to take a pick on the floor.
Can any one confirm this for me please.
Many thanks
Wookie

From Royal Mail's briefing to us.
Am I allowed to take a picture of customers and their houses, does this break GDPR rules?
GDPR Rules could be breached if identifiable objects are included in the photo. Always ensure you only capture the item placed on the doorstep with the label visible in an open doorway.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I don't really understand why we should avoid taking a photograph with the house number visible, but are supposed to have the label (with the name and address) visible?POSTMAN wrote: ↑12 Dec 2024, 14:32From Royal Mail's briefing to us.

Capturing the house number can sometimes assist with discrepancies at a later date.

That might be true but it isn't what you are supposed to do.
