Firstly, we are not Royal Mail.

According to the tracking, your parcel was put on the plane to Nigeria on 01 August. The rest is up to Nigerian customs then the local postal service. As it has not been received after 5 weeks the sender needs to make a claim from Royal Mail. If this is something you bought then you need to claim your money back from the seller.

would it be sent to my home adress or i need to pick it up from somewhere..
You would need to ask Nigeria Post that question, but I believe that you normally need to collect these items from the Post Office.

I have been trying to find where my parcel could be in, the last update from royal mail is that it's at Heathrow for processing on the 13/12/2024 and up until now it hasn't gotten to nigeria . I have contacted NIPOST but they are yet to receive this item.

This item only got as far as Royal Mail Langley. That often indicates that there is a problem with contents, i.e. it is not allowed under UK law, international law or Nigerian customs rules. If you tell us what was in the package we can tell you more about that.

It is now over 5 weeks since this was posted. Assuming that the contents were allowed in the mail, the sender should be submitting a lost parcel claim to Royal Mail.

All of the above could cause a problem, except the card. But crucially, perfume is banned from the international mail and the sender has committed a criminal offence by trying to post it. The parcel has almost certainly been destroyed by Royal Mail.

When I checked concerning the perfume I noticed that as long as it has a particular symbol of not being flammable and 150ml or below it was okay and for the airpod I didn't see any info relating to it actually be prohibited. So I'm a bit confused, if the item was confisticated , why will royal mail customer service not mention that during my numerous calls with them rather giving me different answers about it being at Heathrow and having already left nigeria.

As Snaggletooth said - perfume is not allowed at all internationally.

Yes, I don’t see any carve out of the type you describe for perfumes.

AirPods contain batteries, so check those restrictions on the link I posted before. Many rules to follow to post them legally, and many other countries ban them entirely from the mail.

“Bracelets” also potentially a bit of a problem if described that way, but in that case more likely to cause a delay than confiscation if sent by themselves.

I don’t know that anyone tells customer services when things have been officially destroyed, in fact I can think of a very good reason why they wouldn’t…

The 150ml you have quoted is for destination within the UK

International destinations - Not allowed in the mail
