Okay. My goal is to get a proper investigation into SD’s at Warrington. Especially since the last SD through Warrington was also late and strikes hadn’t even started yet. Thanks for the advice, I’ll call them today. Wish me luck.TrueBlueTerrier wrote: ↑03 Sep 2022, 08:30Yes call the same number, just when they answer you ask to speak to the escalation team, they will then either take your details or put you through. At each stage, each call handler gets more authority, so much that if it makes it to stage 4 one of the board members gets informed.Ashcon wrote: ↑02 Sep 2022, 13:51How do I get to stage 2? Call the same number? I don’t see any contact details on there. Apologies for wasting everyone’s time with all these questions.TrueBlueTerrier wrote: ↑02 Sep 2022, 11:48You can escalate it if you are not happy with Royal Mails response.
See https://www.royalmail.com/sites/default ... G_2019.pdf
You are at stage 1 - there are 3 other stages that may get a real investigation started.

Assistance Required: Stuck Shipment of Critical Documents at Warrington MC (Tracking No. RL627891259GB)
Dear Royalmail Team
I find myself in a very difficult situation where I need to urgently send some extremely important documents to India for official purposes. These documents were not only expensive to obtain but also required significant time and effort, making them invaluable to me.
After researching, I was led to believe that Royal Mail is the most reliable and trustworthy service in the UK. However, to my surprise and distress, I discovered that my shipment is still stuck at the Warrington Mail Centre (MC). When I contacted customer care, I was advised to file a claim, which would only cover the postage amount, as I don't have receipts for the documents themselves. But how can anyone calculate the value of the stress, time, and travel expenses I incurred to obtain these documents?
I am reaching out in desperation to request assistance. Could someone at Warrington MC please help me locate my documents and ensure they are forwarded to my address or at least allow me to collect them directly from the facility? The tracking number for the shipment is RL627891259GB.
Please, I sincerely request your help in this matter. I am not in a position to reissue these documents and incur additional expenses of more than £1,000 again.
Your assistance would mean the world to me, and I would be forever grateful. Thank you in advance for your understanding and support. God bless you all.
Best regards,
Abhay Shinde

Re: Warrington MC
First of all we are not an official Royal mail as state on every web page and we therefore cannot take any official action. The chances of someone working in the exact location and department that could help you uis very small.
We can only offer advice and insight.
The insight - an EDI note was issued on that tracking number yesterday so it looks like it was held up waiting for Indianan customs to exchange digital details, or Royal Mail sent them lare (its impossible to say which) https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/RL627891259GB
EDI-received: EDI stands for Electronic Data Interchange, which is a standardized method of exchanging business documents electronically between organizations. "EDI-received" implies that the instructions or order for sending the item have been received through this electronic system.
The advice - whilst Royal Mail do not offer compensation above £250 for international items - Parcelforce does. Also I would always ask the advice of the Post Office when sending something as they have full details on compensation, insurance, and access to more than just Royal mails network.
I removed your phone number for security reasons as this is a public area of this board.

Re: Warrington MC
Looking at the other poster’s description of what they sent, this item needed Consequential Loss cover. It has been a while since I worked for the Post Office, but at that time no carrier offered CL for destinations outside of the UK.TrueBlueTerrier wrote: ↑08 Aug 2024, 12:45The advice - whilst Royal Mail do not offer compensation above £250 for international items - Parcelforce does. Some Parcelforce services have a guaranteed delivery time, so would have been better in that respect, probably at many times the cost of the RM service.
