Looks like item retained either customs charge or not enough postage paid
It’s was only posted last Tuesday so it’s the senders fault so don’t moan at us!

Download the Royal Mail app and you will be able to track your package.

Re: Parcel no LP211434003GB
You would think that RM would come up with a scan that indicates clearly to the customer that a 'customs charge' or not 'enough postage paid' is due and that it is held at the local DO until the charge is paid.
The 'Retention' indication for the item doesn't give the recipient much of a clue what is happening. I know they'll get a grey card through the door but surely they can back that up with a digital indication much better than just 'Retention' with no reason.

If I understand correctly, the sender did not post enough postage on the package, which is why the package is blocked.

Re: Parcel no LP211434003GB
Have you had a grey card posted to you saying that there is an amount to pay?
If not, go to your local delivery office where you would normally go to collect a parcel, take ID with you and the parcel number, and ask them to chase it up.

I have not received anything and I live in France. It seems to me that the package is still in England. the French post office has nothing on this package.

Okay. You need to contact the person or company that sent it. It’s up to them to locate it here and correct the postage.

Re: Parcel no LP211434003GB
I suspect the parcel has been returned to the sender for some reason. It's the only thing that makes any sense with all the tracking going back to a DO in Somerset.

This is not a forum managed by Royal Mail customer service. It's a forum for their employees to discuss stuff.
Even RM customer service wouldn't be able to do much apart from telling you what they see on the tracking. Others have already told you what the meaning of the tracking is most likely. Talk to the seller and they can chase it up with RM and if it's gone back to them they can refund you or resend the item.

Some very confusing tracking there, it makes me wonder if the sender has used the same tracking number for two different packages.

Re: Parcel no LP211434003GB
Does it look like it's been Retured To Sender by Wellington DO then? Why does it have
"10:32 Delivered
92500 Rueil"
in the tracking? Is it because that is probably where the addressee is located? Surely that's an error in the tracking software.
Never understood why that we don't have a 'Returned to sender' scan when we hand returned items back over to the sender.
Often I get a strange look when people have to sign for stuff they've sent as 'Signed for' and we scan it as 'Deliver to customer'.

Re: Parcel no LP211434003GB
I am now fairly sure there are two items with the same number, as scans happened hours apart in delivery offices in different countries.
