Australia has stringent import regulations that could result in customs delays (Australian Post scans following clearance).
Please refer to https://www.royalmail.com/sending/inter ... /australia to confirm if the contents of the parcel are listed as Prohibited (banned) or Restricted (subject to extended scrutiny).

Yes.
In the past when Australian customs picked items to do checks on, it delayed them for a while.
I lived there briefly back in the 80s; even back then, customs could be an issue. Hopefully whatever it is won't spoil.
