Item returned to sender, what to do

It says returned to sender because address is wrong. But I talked to sender, he showed me a photo of the parcel with my name and address 10000% correct on the front. From US-UK.

Everything on it is perfect.

I do not own a phone and cannot find anywhere to e-mail RM.

I read somehwere that sometimes on a weekend the worker is low staff and tired so they just put in a random message but really will come monday instead. But that's just a theory I read.

and the first mile tracking from when it was in the USA. It is just a 3D printed plastic sea horse and eagle that are the size of cadbury chocolate buttons.

Could it be that he wrote

"Mr. E P Benson"

Instead of Eric Pat Benson?

Or do they not care about names as there is no name connection to my house? As I've always used E.P Benson on all of my Etsy purchases. They've always turned up.

This item was posted within the UK. The sender has used one of those shipping services that brings bulk parcels over to the UK then splits the container down and posts the items over here. Unfortunately this adds another layer to the process and therefore increases the ways that this can go wrong.

Ultimately you need to make a claim from the seller.

it is also possible that the address on the parcel is unreadable because it got damaged in transit, added to that the menu system for returning parcels is not used much and it has multiple menus, so again it's possible that the person scanning it used the wrong status.

As to the name. Royal Mail deliver to the address, not the person, so you could have Mr Slappy 1 Letsby Ave and it would still be delivered there.

it now says that it was delivered. But I have a camera outside and no one showed up on that day and there's nothing in the mail box.

did it mean it was delivered back to the sender? it is super confusing! or did they deliver it finally to someone else?

The tracking history says it was delivered in Slough. As I don't think you live in that area, it means that it has returned to the point at which it enterred the mail system, i.e. the company that brought it across the Atlantic.

I do live near Slough, sometimes they send the slough people to deliver it to me as I am close to it. So it kinda confused me.
